Dr. Charles Roberts comes from a distinguished line of heart doctors. His grandfather was the first heart specialist in Georgia. His father, now 80, continues to serve as editor for the American Journal of Cardiology. Like them, Dr. Roberts went to medical school at Emory University and trained at Grady Hospital in Atlanta. He attended residencies at the Medical University of South Carolina and the University of North Carolina followed along with a cardiac surgery fellowship in London. In 2014, he left his successful cardiovascular surgery practice in Virginia to return to Lowcountry after being recruited to join Trident Health's Heart Team. “I love dealing with cardiac and vascular disease, and making people's lives better,” says Dr. Roberts, who had also joined Palmetto Cardiovascular & Thoracic Associates in 2015. Now he resides in Dallas, Texas and is practicing surgery at Baylor Scott and White Dallas. He also serves as the Medical Director of Cardiovascular Research and Education at Baylor University Medical Center at Dallas.  With expertise in valvular heart disease, coronary artery disease, aortic conditions, carotid, and peripheral arterial disease, Dr. Charles Roberts has been highly regarded in his ability.
