Heart disease is one of the leading causes of death among human beings in the world. Especially in the united states, 1 in every 4 deaths every year is related to heart disease. A lot of the blame for this phenomenon is put on the food culture and laziness that has taken over the lives of humans over the past few years. People are eating more and leading much less healthy lives than any other point in history. Amazingly, one of the worst aspects of today's heart disease epidemic is the mass consumption of unhealthy foods. However, this phenomenon has also led to valuable research that has allowed for the identification of a multitude of methods to combat the current lifestyles that humans have become accustomed to. In an article called, “15 Heart-Healthy Foods to Work into Your Diet Boost nutrition, flavor and color in meals and snacks,” the vascular team at the Cleveland Clinic, which is one of the premier hospitals in the world, has provided a detailed explanation of a few foods that has the ability to improve lives. Through the teaming up of scientists and doctors, now there is information that is readily available for all of the mass public on what to eat and how it can help make people healthier and make their hearts stronger to last longer. Here is what to eat!
The article begins by explaining the major importance of eating good foods that are all natural. We have all become accustomed to foods that are heavy on preservatives and unnatural. Interestingly, I myself have experienced the effects of the bad food we subject ourselves to today. In the quest to lose weight, build muscle, and become more fit I decided to cut out fast food, sodas, and unnecessary sugars out of my diet. Once I completely made the switch to such a lifestyle with those strict eating habits, I started to notice my energy levels increase as well as my overall health and fitness became substantially better. Months after that I tried fast food again after a long time away from it and I could immediately feel my whole body slowing down and feeling groggy. This is one of the first moments in my life that I really noticed the impact that the food we consume has on our bodies. This article not only tells of the many foods that will help improve heart health, but it also explains how it is gonna help and in what way to consume them. For example, the eating of fish that is high in omega 3 like salmon, tuna, mackerel, herring, and trout will all provide the person consuming them with the correct types of fats and cholesterols to promote better the hearts operations. Which in the long run could help them and you live a longer life.
In conclusion, rebuilding peoples diets to follow that of a more heart health-centered one will allow them to better their lives, avoid heart disease, and hopefully extend their life expectancy by a lot. Along with working out and leading a healthier lifestyle, it is extremely possible that this combination of things can allow for a reduction of heart disease and heart-related deaths in the human population. Through my own personal experience and the scientific research that the doctors and scientists of the various studies the Cleveland Clinic have made, it was proven that eating certain healthier foods can allow for a better fitness level and better health for individuals. Hopefully, this knowledge will help other people and myself better the current state of our diets and improve our heart health. With the overall goal of reducing unhealthy eating habits and heart disease rates in the long run, so humanity as a whole can benefit.
